State Senator Steve Wilson is currently serving the 7th District of the Ohio Senate. His district covers Warren County and a portion of Hamilton County. Wilson was appointed in 2017 to fill a vacancy in the 7th Senate District.

Wilson earned a B.A. in finance from Miami University in 1972, served as a Navy Lieutenant, and began his banking career at Lebanon Citizens National Bank (LCNB), eventually becoming CEO. Under his leadership, LCNB expanded across nine Ohio counties. He has held leadership roles in various organizations, including the American Bankers Association, Ohio Bankers Association, and various Chambers of Commerce, and served as a board member for the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. He also contributed to local civic efforts for the Countryside YMCA, Ohio Historical Society, Otterbein Senior Life Community, the Warren County Foundation, and the Warren County Area Progress Council.

Wilson served as Lebanon City School District’s School Board President. He has been recognized with multiple awards, including Citizen of the Year by the Lebanon Chamber of Commerce.

His legislative accomplishments include establishing financial literacy and capitalism requirements for high school students, combatting fraud and exploitation of Ohio's senior citizens, and modernizing Ohio's notary laws to allow secure virtual notarization. Wilson has received recognition for his voting record and contributions, including awards from the Ohio Chamber of Commerce and the American Conservative Union.

Senator Wilson and his wife, Jill, reside in Maineville. They have four children and six grandchildren and are members of the Otterbein United Methodist Church.
