Chris Glassburn serves as the State Representative for Ohio’s 15th District which includes North Olmsted, Olmsted Twp, Middleburg Heights, Brook Park, Brooklyn, Linndale, and communities in the westside of Cleveland. Representative Glassburn was sworn in January 6th to serve his first term in the 136th General Assembly. Representative Glassburn is dedicated to fighting for energy reform that strengthens Ohio’s energy grid delivering reliable and affordable energy to all Ohioans. Beyond his role on the House Energy Committee, Representative Glassburn is devoted towards lowering property taxes for our most vulnerable communities through sensible bi-partisan legislation.

As a lifelong resident of Northeast Ohio who was born in Painesville and raised in North Olmsted, Representative Glassburn’s commitment to his community runs deep. After graduating high school in North Olmsted, he obtained his bachelor’s degree from Baldwin Wallace College. He and his wife Megan are proud to be raising their daughter in North Olmsted. Since 2016, Glassburn has been the owner and president of a successful small business providing professional services to local businesses, non-profits, and governments. Before joining the Ohio House of Representatives, Chris spent time on the North Olmsted School Board and represented Ward 2 on City Council for seven years.

Through his previous work on the North Olmsted City Council as the former Chairman of the Finance Committee, Representative Glassburn led several key initiatives to improve the quality of life in North Olmsted. He successfully lowered city property taxes three times, totaling a reduction of 1.5 mills, to help residents manage the cost of school levies. He also doubled the city’s road repair programs by securing vital funding through county, state, and federal grants. Under his leadership, the city introduced new park amenities such as walking paths, restrooms, and baby changing stations. Representative Glassburn also launched programs aimed at helping seniors and low-income families with critical home repairs, and he implemented small business grants to support local companies during the pandemic. In 2020 Representative Glassburn was honored as the Civilian of the Year by the Western Cuyahoga Fraternal Order of Police for his leadership in the Makers for Medics campaign, which produced over 10,000 face shields for healthcare workers and first responders.

Representative Glassburn’s top priority as a state representative is fighting inflation and lowering the cost of living for Ohio families. He supports ensuring that the state pays its fair share of the property tax burden by supporting our public schools and providing targeted relief for our seniors. He's a firm believer in the Fair School Funding Plan to make sure every Ohio child, no matter their zip code, has a chance to succeed. Representative Glassburn will continue to be a tireless advocate for fair representation, fighting against gerrymandering and ensuring that the people, not political insiders, decide who represents them.

With a proven track record of service, he’s dedicated to delivering real solutions that put people first and ensure every voice is heard.
